Creating Finnish Welfare: a Century of Finland and the Virtanen family is an educational documentary film that tells 100 years of Finnish history in 20 minutes. The film was done for the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of Finland and will mostly be used for integration purposes for immigrants and refugees. Therefore it was done in eight different languages: Finnish, English, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Sorani, Thai and Somali. The film, combining archive material, photographs, graphics and animation had a team of professionals hired from all over Finland. The film is a part of the Suomi 100 program that celebrates 100 years of Finland’s independency.
